SOUTH CAVE TOURNAMENT

We're looking forward to welcoming all of our visitors to this year's South Cave Tournament over the weekends of 14th & 15th June 2025 as well as 21st & 22nd June 2025.

You'll find everything that you need to know below - please share this with anyone from your team that is coming!

WHICH DAY?

Due to the popularity of our tournament age groups are split over four days, these are based on the age group that they have been playing as all season.

Saturday 14th June
U7 Development, Under 8, Under 10, Under 12, Under 14

Sunday 15th June
Under 7, Under 9, Under 11, Under 13, Under 15

Saturday 21st June  
Under 8 Girls, Under 10 Girls, Under 12 Girls, Under 14 Girls

Sunday 22nd June  
Under 9 Girls, Under 11 Girls, Under 13 Girls, Under 15 Girls

START TIMES

  • Team Managers need to register by 09:20 at the Registration Tent on the Lower field

  • There will be a briefing for Team Managers in the centre of your pitch at 09:30

  • All games will kick-off at 09:45

GETTING HERE

We're located on Church Street in South Cave behind the school/sports centre, Post Code: HU15 2EP

It will be Very busy!  Due to very high demand, we have a lot of teams coming to the tournament days, so parking will be particularly tight.

In order for us to continue to run the event with the support of the village we ask that wherever possible, you car share as we don't want people blocking village roads or driveways (and it's better for the environment!) If people car share, then we can accomodate all cars on site.

Parking costs £2 and is payable by cash only, ideally if you could have the correct change ready upon arrival would be appreciated.

Dropping off but not staying? Access to the ground is single-lane traffic, so any drop-offs must be on Church Street itself as you will not get back out until all tournament traffic has arrived!

GAME FORMAT

Under 7 Development, Under 7 & Under 8 will be 5-a-side and play group games. All of these groups will receive a medal for their efforts on the day!

All other age groups are 6-a-side, with a Group stage followed by a knockout stages. All teams will go through to a knockout competition.
Teams can bring a maximum squad of 10 players, no additional players will be permitted.

A Managers briefing will take place 15 minutes before the first game kick-off. Full Rules for the day are available to view here

FIXTURES/RESULTS

All Fixtures will be available from 08:00 on the day of your tournament through our website at www.southcavefc.co.uk/fixtures 

For Under 9s categories upward, the results will update on the website page during the day to enable you to keep track of your position within the group.

Based on previous years, we would expect Finals to take place at around 3pm-3:30pm
 

MOST IMPORTANTLY...

Have Fun! Please remember that whether you are watching an Under 7s team or an Under 16s team, these are children playing and should be allowed to enjoy the day whatever the results are.

Please also take the opportunity to thank our Referees on the day, who do their best to ensure games run as smoothly as possible.
