Support our Christmas Foodbank Appeal

We're supporting The Trussell Trust again this winter and would appreciate your support if you are able to do so
The club will again be looking to support the Trussell Trust this winter and be collecting food for the East Yorkshire Food Bank at the club. A drop off box will be available Saturday and Sundays in the kitchen for people to donate non perishable items.
Last year saw the village donate over 5,500 items, but sadly the foodbank needed everyone one of those. There are so many people living in food poverty that we can help – even just a little bit. All donations no matter how big or small will be welcome, so if you could add something to the weekly shop that would be great – we have 350 players! If everyone donated an item that would make a huge difference to many peoples Christmas.
You can find regular updates on the foodbank website of what items they need, but examples of items needed are:
- UHT Milk
- Fruit juice
- Hot Chocolate
- Jam, Marmalade, Honey
- Small jars of coffee & tea bags
- Packet foods of mashed potato or pasta
- Tinned Meats
- Toiletries such as shower gel, shampoo, deodorants
- Christmas 'treats' such as Chocolate coins, tinned puddings
